I cannot get the tick mouth piece out of my dog?

I removed a tick with tweezers from my dog. There is a very small sliver of mouth still in the hole. I cannot get it out. I disinfected the area. Will this be ok as long as I watch out for infection? She's had a lyme shot already and had had ticks before removed by the vet, but she gets so many! I need to learn how to do this myself.
