Receptionist asking if you would like to add gratuity to cash?

Personally - I would think it is pushy ... however - the receptionist may be made to ask this by the employers. You just never know WHY she really asked ... she may have had her own reasons .. but it kinda insulting when you had already paid this .. it seems it should not be her business to ask.
